80s Brithday Beach Party

Now, this post should have been written a long time ago. But because I was busy,  I left it for a while. Next week in Filter I will host 80s Aerobics Party so this post will be as a announcement for the forthcoming Aerobics.

I always write how awesome  our beach parties are, how more and more of our friends are attending these. The 80s Birthday Beach Party was also closing party for summer ’08, and boooi it was fun. 

I tried to make this one “special”, so I bought a cheap strobe and mirror ball with spotlight for extra feel :)

The tent, we sometimes assemble, and the dance floor were just to small for this occasion. I think attendance was around 100 and more and that was double pleasure :) 

We tried with the dress code but not many people was following that. Not to be blamed, we still have to adopt that practice that many of the young people around the world are following.

80s Aerobics is the next step. We now moved to the club, as we yearned many winters ago. 

If you are near Rijeka, Croatia and you feel like losing some weight, put on sneakers, leg warmers, tear those sleeves and come to 80s Aerobics @ Filter Bar  January 17, 2009. 

I made a short mix inspired by that party so people could remember and others could hear the music that was played:

The Good Guys

Now, these guys don't get a lot of blog space. Unfortunately. I believe diskopunk blog had couple of posts about them. I hope in future, like SymbolOne, blogs will launch them. To my personal taste music is beyond great. Hard to explain the style, as they said, but very,  very positive. 

Cell D and Xtrapurified are two long time friends from Novi Sad. Producer, with drum ‘n bass background, and designer with nu rave live act featuring visual performance they really rock the stage. 

In my previous posts I wrote about their performance at Exit this summer. There they caught my attention and I decided to have them as guest at next Mishu Mitsubishu Party.

24th of December. Christmas eve @ Filter. They’ll have support from Morpheuss and I will always be there :)

As a delicacy I’m posting one of their tracks and the latest phenomenal mixtape.

My first Mishu Mitsubishu party.

As I announced 30min ago we moved to the club, although that wasn’t the Club mentioned before:) Never the less party was maybe the best example for the ones to come. Guests couldn’t be better for the firstborn. Banana Rave with the young padawan Felony Flats.

They are quite positive little bunch from Belgrade. I almost needed a bus to bring them to Rijeka :) To my luck they all fitted in 2 cars.

  I remember, while i was still in high school. Sitting  at the end of the classroom by the window and listening to Studio Delta italian radio station on my headphones. I caught the glimpse of one of the Daft Punk song. Da Funk. At that moment I wasn’t even aware of them. Soon they will influence me in many different  ways. One of the first song I played at the Club was Musique. B side of Da Funk single.

Should I stay or should I go.

Don't belive the rumours. I'm not dead :)

These few months it seemed as I was asleep. Well to be honest it felt that way. No new mixtapes, no new posts. Nothing. But there is a new Club at the horizon. Most of my energy was focused only on the making of that Club, beside my lousy full time job. I had no inspiration whatsoever. Still no inspiration :) As soon the hush around the new Club is down I will get busy with the new mixtapes.

Mishu Mitsubishu is moving to the club. I will stay.
